ZIM
Integrated Shipping Services Ltd, Haifa
ZIM is one of the largest container-shipping companies in the
world and the flagship of Israeli shipping. Zim offers international
cargo services along almost all the major international trading
routes to customers throughout the world. From its corporate headquarters
in Haifa and authorised representatives around the world, it operates
an intermodal system, which combines sea, land, and air transportation,
enabling the Company to provide fast, reliable, frequent, and
complete door-to-door services around the world.
Since
its establishment in 1945, "Service to clients through modernization and
improvement" has always been the hallmark of Zim.
Zim
operates over 80 vessels of all types. Of these, 27 vessels are fully or partly
owned by Zim and the others are chartered for exclusive service. Zim
handles over 410,000 TEU of various types. Zims container are maintained
in good and safe condition to International Containers Standards and CSC-Container
Safety Convention. To manage its inventory, Zim has developed sophisticated logistics
systems encompassing planning, marketing, new-building, purchase and leasing,
inventory control, naintenance and repair and sale of conainers.

Gold
Star Line Ltd., was incorporated in Hong Kong in 1958. It was one of the founding
member of the Far East West Africa Conference (FEWAC). Gold Star pioneered the
introduction of containerized trans-national cargo service to trade on the African
continent.
The
company controls a vast international network of intersecting liner services,
focusing on the African Continent transporting a wide range of commodities from
the Far East (China - Korea - Japan - Taiwan - Hong Kong), South East Asia (Thailand
- Indonesia -Singapore - Malaysia), the Indian sub-continent (Bangladesh -India
- Pakistan - Sri Lanka) and the Arabian Gulf to the African continent (East -
South and West Africa).
Gold
Star Line's operations is geared for Punctual, Reliable, Professional and Personal
services at all times. Gold Star vessels sail every week from China, Korea, Hong
Kong, Singapore, Japan and Taiwan, while direct calls are rendered from the Indian
sub-continent and the Arabian Gulf connecting our mainliners sailing out of Colombo
on a sailing frequency of 12 days.
